Multi-channel delivery
Multi-channel delivery is the name given to describe publishing content to more than one format or medium. CSW’s Knowledge Management Suite (KMS) provides processing pipeline functionality within both the Knowledge Engineering System (KES) and Knowledge Delivery Engine (KDE) products to automatically transform content into final formats from a single source.

Processing pipelines are normally custom XSLT stylesheets used to prepare the content, then an external processor converts the content into the final format. Processing pipelines can be customised to fit individual publishing needs. Examples of existing pipelines include:
- Index generation
- Instant proofing to PDF, web, Braille, voice
- Instant online publishing
- Round-tripping documents to Microsoft Word
- Custom Table of Contents (ToC) generation
- Changes made between input versions
- Tailored content feeds for 3rd party apps
Pipelines can be invoked manually by users of the application at any time, however they are mostly performed automatically as part of the business rules and workflows associated with the publishing process.
